Yes, every three years in order to verify or update your contact information.

Yes, as long as it is from a public library in Lancaster County. Check the labels, some items must be returned to their home library.

A lot! DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks, Kindles, magazines, games, puzzles, even Breyer horses! There are 11 computers, as well as free wifi, and STEM toys to use in the library. You can make copies and send a fax too.

Libraries do receive money from the PA Department of Education, but it is not nearly enough! The Strasburg-Heisler Library receives support from the Strasburg Borough and Township as well as West Lampeter Township and the L-S School District. Sadly, this is still not enough! We are financially dependent on our local community members to be proactive on behalf of the library.

Donate monetarily! After all, what is the value of life-long learning?

Come to fundraising events with your friends- they’re fun!  You’ll meet other people who also love your library.

Talk to your friends and neighbors about your library. Maybe you will surprise them with the opportunities that are found here that they never knew about.

It is at the library staff’s discretion if donated items will be added to the lending collections, sold or discarded. There is very little storage space, therefor we can accept a box or a bag of books that are in very-good to excellent condition and are less than 3 years from the time of publication.

We cannot accept textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias or similar sets, computer manuals, condensed books, or VHS tapes.

Items that are moldy, dirty, damaged, bug infested or have been chewed by a living thing have no value to the library as these things cannot be loaned to our community members or sold.
